Wakizashi in Shirasaya Era of blade: Eishō (Second half of Muromachi period, 1504-1521) Province: Bungo The blade is sharp and was polished Signature: Mumei attributed by NBTHK to Taira Takada 平高田 Blade length : 45.8 cm Sori : 1.2 cm Moto-haba (Width at the hamachi): 3.29 cm Saki-haba (Width at the Kissaki): 2.76 cm Moto-Kasane : 0.53 cm Mekugi : 1 Form : Shinogi-zukuri. Iori-mune. Mihaba is wide. High shinogi-suji and relatively strong sori. O-kissaki. Nakago : Ubu Jigane : Itame-gokoro, with some changes. Ko-mokumes mixed. Hamon : Gunomes midare, ko-cho-ji-bas mixed. Ashi and Yo appeared. Fine sunagashi appeared freqiently. Boshi : It runs in midare-komi. It turns in round. Saki shows haki-kake state frequently. Swordsmith: Taira Takada school was swordsmith group who inscripted Taira, lived in Bungo Takada. They actively worked in second half of Muromachi period. Conditions: Excellent.
