I am sorry to hear your item arrived damaged. I sent it by registered post and it is therefore insured up to 100 euro. So if you can send me some more details, for example photos of the damage and the packaging when you received it, i can start to make a claim to get you a refund. That doesnt sound good. It was working perfectly when i sent it, although it does take a little precision placing on the wall. Good luck👍. Of course the transport could have affected it but that has hardly ever occurred with the clocks i have sent.
