This model of the Egmond Super Solid 7, Greenburst was Paul McCartney's first electric guitar! The Solid 7 was launched in the late 50's. It was normally an ES113 with 2 pick-ups, but when having three pickups (and a tremolo) is was called the super Solid 7 (as this one). The name makes you think it is a solid body guitar, but it isn't, it is a hollow body guitar without any sound hole. That was done because it made the guitar lighter ands mostly sloshy than a solid body guitar. The Egmond Super Solid 7 is with the new style double cut-out.
This model (and with the Greenburst) is shown in some Beatles-books and gutta-books, they tell us that this model was the very first guitar used by Paul McCartney, (see photos). The guitar is also described in the official Egmond-book on page 330/342.
