A superb Primitive 16thC Tudor Carved Romayne Portrait Panel depicting a centralised “Lady of the Court” flanked by a quartet of “Woodwose” or Wild Spirits of the Forest.
The piece is of French origins and dates to Circa 1540.
Condition is secure and ready to hang, there are some slight losses to the lower corners and a few old worm holes which have long been treated and are not active. Some preservation work can be seen to the reverse as shown. Please study all images for an accurate report!
