Beautiful, creamy white Mary with child, the so-called 'Flower Madonna' by Hummel.
The porcelain representation of a 'Madonna with child' was made by the F. & W. Goebel factory based on designs by the nun Maria Innocentia Hummel.
Innocenti was part of the Franciscan order; she took endearing childhood photographs that were reproduced in porcelain by Goebel. These 'Hummel figures' were - and still are - popular with collectors.
