Oudtijds gekleurd exemplaar van de beroemde kaart van Willem Blaeu van Frans Vlaanderen. Zeer fraai gedecoreerd met titelcartouche en vele wapenschilden van steden en de Spaanse koning. Cartograaf: Martinus Doué. In 1636 gepubliceerd in Amsterdam in een Franse editie van de ´Atlas Novus´.
Redelijk tot goede conditie, lichte watervlekken in de bovenste helft van de kaart, ruime marges. Wat reparaties en verstevigingen aan de achterzijde, centrale vouw gerepareerd en verstevigd. Al met al toch een heel decoratief exemplaar van deze bijzondere kaart.

I am glad you are happy with the map. And also that it arrived safely. I must say I am a bit surprised by the comment about the time it took to send it. The shipping took 8 days, from Spain to the Netherlands. Perhaps you count from the moment you pay, but I can´t possibly ship in a weekend. You paid at the end of the morning on Friday when the mail here already had been collected. It now left on a Monday at the first possibility. And it took a week. That includes a weekend where also the Dutch Post doesn´t work. I think it will be difficult to get it to you faster, unless the costs are multiplied by three or four to contract express courier service......
