Condition: outstanding impression with intense burr, with velvet effect, the second impression of the plate of a number reserved to collaborators, and before a commercial edition of 120 ex., in mint condition, full margins.

Comments: Bernard Buffet exclusively worked with the Galerie Maurice Garnier, in Paris. Collaborators in the gallery were used to acquire from the artist signed and numbered proofs in a very limited number, before commercial editions were pulled.

Among these collaborators, Christine Poirot-Delpech worked at the Galerie Maurice Garnier between 1972 and 2002. She became an important collector of Buffet's work, including paintings and prints.

Our print comes from her collection. Because she only acquired the very first impressions, the quality of the prints she collected made it a unique ensemble.
