Back in 2010 Sideshow produced the Premium Format Statue of the Bounty Hunter Aurra Sing on a very limited release. Each piece of the Premium Statue is individually painted and finished, each with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product. Only 750 (worldwide!!) of these Premium Format Statues were produced by Sideshow at the time. It should go without any saying that these sold out almost immediately and have been almost impossible to find or obtain by collectors ever since. Nowadays this Premium Format Statue is very sought after by the serious Star Wars and Sideshow collectors who missed out on the occasional release back in the day. The statue hardly ever comes up for sale anymore and is considered to be a holy-grail piece by many serious Star Wars/Sideshow collectors. On a very rare occasion you might see one being offered online or at a convention, but I dare you to find a better example than the one I am offering right here. The only piece that is missing from the statue is the little antenna that is originally attached to Aurra's head. It is shown very clearly in the additional photographs what the effect from the missing antenna is to the statue. I myself have never found the missing antenna to be very bothering from the presence of this stunning piece. Maybe it could easily be fixed using a very small pieces of metal, but I have never tried! The figure is very clean and there are only some light scratches to the paint on the figure, primarily to the lips of Aurra. These little defects have always been there ever since I have owned this figure. I have tried to capture the effect as good as i possibly could on the accompanying photographs. The boxed statue comes complete with the original art-box and even the original shipper-box it originally came in from Sideshow back in the day. The box has some dents and scratches as they usually have after traveling overseas coming from Sideshow. Aurra's backstory is fascinating and the Bounty Hunter has always been a fan-favorite considered to be a female comparison to the ferocious Boba Fett. Born on the mean streets of Nar Saddaa's vertical cities, Aurra Sing is a vicious humanoid alien, recognizable by her chalk-white skin and bloodletting fingers. Her potential in the Force was discovered when she was just an infant, and she was taken to Coruscant to begin her initiation into the Jedi way. But Aurra was a headstrong, aggressive student, and she lacked the control to fully master the force or bond with her master, the Dark Woman. Before she had even reached Padawan ranking, Aurra was kidnapped by star pirates, who turned the impressionable young alien against the Order forever, feeding her lies about the Jedi's disloyalty to her. Aurra was raised among the pirates, learning deadly fighting and hunting skills, and became an independent bounty huntress specializing in Jedi capture.
