Folioformaat kopergravure met een stadsplattegrond van Gorkum/Gorinchem in vogelvluchtperspectief met de gebouwen op opstand weergegeven. De stad afgebeeld achter de vestingwerken.
Titel in een cartouche rechtsboven. Linksboven het stadswapen en het wapen van Holland..
Uitgegeven door Frederik de Wit, in diens Stedenatlas: 'Perfecte Aftekeningen der steden van de XVII Nederlandsche provincies in plattegronden', Amsterdam 1698. Gesigneerd rechtsonder in de afbeelding.
Zeer goede staat, met ruime marges, horizontale (1) en verticale (3) vouwen zoals uitgegeven, verso blanco. Wat kleine vouwtjes en kreukjes. Maar al met al een buitengewoon mooi exemplaar,

I am glad you are happy with the map. And also that it arrived safely. I must say I am a bit surprised by the comment about the time it took to send it. The shipping took 8 days, from Spain to the Netherlands. Perhaps you count from the moment you pay, but I can´t possibly ship in a weekend. You paid at the end of the morning on Friday when the mail here already had been collected. It now left on a Monday at the first possibility. And it took a week. That includes a weekend where also the Dutch Post doesn´t work. I think it will be difficult to get it to you faster, unless the costs are multiplied by three or four to contract express courier service......
Een bekend adres. Al jaren. Betrouwbaar! Djw!
