A nice selection of decorated pottery beads, used in necklaces. Designed by Bambara-craftsmen in Mali.
The decorations are made by making small incisions and then filling these with powdered clay. The result is a very attractive bead. There are 12 large pottery beads ( 30 x 38 mm). The smaller beads are 25 x 27 mm. in dimension.
Collected in the city of Bamako in the early 2000's.
