Superchip: The Final Silicon Solution? is the eighth and final album by the Edgar Broughton Band. This album saw them on their own record label, and were credited as The Broughtons as they were called on their previous album, Parlez-Vous English?. This album sees the band with a slightly different sound, with prominent use of synthesisers, but still retaining their original psychedelic rock roots.

The Edgar Broughton Band
Profile :
The Edgar Broughton Band were an English rock band founded in Warwick in 1968 and their initial incarnation were operative through to 1976.
The band started their career as a blues group under the name of The Edgar Broughton Blues Band, playing to a small following in the region around their hometown of Warwick. However, the band soon began to lean towards the emerging psychedelic movement, dropping the 'Blues' from their name as well as their music.
