This is a late 19th Century linen Richelieu bed linen.
By Richelieu I mean the initials B.B. are achieved in open cut work and
then filled in to complete the initials.
Both letters have an open flower attached to them and some leaves.
I have put red felt under the initials to get the effect.
The edges have a open thread work and a large
"Jour de Venise" above which makes for a good finish.
The open thread work borders continue at the sides.
This is a particularly a decorative and excellent bed linen.
