You are bidding on an original First US Press of The Who’s classic album ‘Sell Out’ in near mint-vinyl (!):

- A 1967 (!) original First US Press (55 years young) of The Who’s ‘Sell Out’ on Decca DL 74950 (Pinckneyville Pressing) on Matrix Runouts 7-11284-9/7-11285-9, in a solid cardboard cover (American style) with the original rainbow Decca-labels, original inner sleeve, ‘Recorded in England’ on labels, printed in the USA on back cover! The pictures are an essential part of the LP-description, so watch them carefully. Cover: Very Good+ - Vinyl: Near Mint! Waw! Don’t miss out!

The release of ‘Sell Out’ in 1967 was immediately followed by several lawsuits, as Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey appear on the album with faux commercials for Heinz and deoderant Odorona, who couldn’t appreciate the gesture! There were also problems with jingles from pirate radio station Radio London, who claimed The Who used them without permission. The album was well received by critics, who viewed the concept album as The Who’s best record so far.

This is a rare find to buy an extremely first US press of The Who in this nice condition! This is an album every true classic rock vinyl-lover wants. A fantastic collector’s item!
