A beautiful colour amethyst kidney shaped bead talisman from the ancient Burmese,Pyu culture.
First Millennium AD.
In good condition. It has been cleaned in a tumbler and repolished, so its surface is shiny and smooth , but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand cutting , carving and grinding . The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased in 1996/Strasbourg by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
