Fuji Publishing - Master of the unusual erotics: "Mature women and married women" - amateur models - 1997

Fuji Publishing produced at the turn of the century a series of erotic photobooks with an unusual design. Using a selection of amateur models as one encounters in daily life, each book centered on a particular style of scenery and type of model. The policy that allowed to attract these unusual models was that they would never be contacted any more after the photo session. The design of books in the series was fully under control of the publisher, resulting in a highly cohesive and very recognizable set.

The books produced were high quality printed, large sized, in thick paper. Beautiful to hold and page through with full saturated detail. A slip case was included, but no dust cover (to maintain privacy). They were marketed at a considerable retail price of 10,000 yen (more than 100 EURO at today's price point) and attracted quite an upmarket fan base. Today these books that are often well preserved by their owners, maintain an aura of innocence of times gone.

The book offered in this lot is titled: "Mature women and married women" (熟女と人妻 ). It pictures 12 models, 6 married (aged between 25 and 29), and 6 mature (aged between 34 and 48). Some limited biographical details and observations are provided with each model, e.g. : "40 years old, Haruko Kanai, Married, 2 children, First time showing naked body to anyone other than her husband". A separate translation of these texts is provided, drafted by the seller. Women use pseudonyms to identify themselves.
