Joško Gravner is one – if not THE – icon of the natural wine movement. What he produces in eastern Friuli near the border with Slovenia is simply so special and unique: real terroir wines in their most original kind. Orange wines that polarize and are extremely independent. Biodynamic, everything always consistently left natural. When Joško took over the more than 300-year-old manor from family ownership in the 1980s, he himself never expected to have such a reputation.
