Here is a beautiful and representative delicate flower of blue baryte from the small Soyons mine in Ardèche.
In my opinion, Soyons has possibly the best barytes in the country, with similar crystal habit and specimen structure as the Romanian barytes from Maramures (Herja and Baia Sprie mines), however the Soyons specimens are quite hard to come by.
