The Panta was the king of folding lens cameras. It was well designed and well built with a solid aluminum body.

The story of Rodehuser is interesting, since the founder ended up in prison because he had obtained money to set up the camera factory illegally from reconstruction funds after the war. Camera collectors will probably agree that it was money well spent!

The Panta is a metal viewfinder camera made by Dr. Rodehüser. It is a sturdy camera but not too heavy since its body is made of aluminium. It was made around 1950. Its specialties were the camera opening mechanism with one of the thumb wheels on top as unlocking lever, and the pull-out lens barrel with a pin in the lens barrel flange. This pin locks the shutter release lever when the barrel is pushed into the body.

Different variants were made.

Functionally tested, looks ok, shutter looks to be ok. Very good condition, looks little used. see pictures
