The white go-stones are made from the bivalve shell hamaguri 蛤 cockles, and the black stones are fashioned from Nachiguroishi, a fine slate sourced from Kumano in the Mie province. The containers are housed in their own tomobako 供箱 (storage box). The table is in very good condition with minor superficial traces of use. Go is renowned for its simple rules but complex gameplay, involving deep strategic thinking, spatial awareness, and intuition. With a profound cultural significance, it has been embraced as an art form and a means of personal growth. Please note: Due to the holidays, shipping and handling times may be longer.
