The LP246, also known as the "Atomic", is used as a wall light or ceiling flush mount. Carlo Nason (1935 - ) designed it in 1969 for A.V. Mazzega, who is known today as Mazzega 1946. The LP246 is a half sphere blown globe with a lip that allows it to be fixed to a white epoxy lacquered base made out of metal using tight screws. The globe is made of Murano glass with a white "lattimo" stipe across it. The Lattimo technique, originating from the Island of Murano, allows for the stripe to be wider or thinner, depending on the model.
