A pair of Japanese Buddhist temple lamps (Tsuridôro) - 灯饰 (2) - 铝 - 复古日式吊坠
A pair of traditional Japanese hanging temple lanterns (tsuridôro) with open work covered with rice paper and detailed decorations scrolling foliage (karakusa).
This type of small hanging lamps are originally used as home altar decoration; each lamp hangs on opposite sides of the altar, creating a warm and meditative, homely atmosphere.
In any different setting, they will create the same atmosphere. Personally I have them als bedside hanging lamps.
Measured without the extendable tube, they are 12 x 10 x 10 cm.
With tube they are 20 cm high.
The tube is extendable if needed, than they are around 27 cm high.
On top of the handle is a hook they can be hung from.
The bottom can be opened to reach the light bulb.
The weight is 180 gr including the electric cord, switch and EU plug.
They are fitted with a low wattage LED lamp, ready for use.
These lanterns are made of a light weight and bendable metal, maybe a mix of aluminium and copper, hence the beautiful copper color.
They are free of damages. However they have accumulated some dust which should be easily removed.
Estimated to be 40-60 years old, they are in very good shape.
Both lamps have been rewired to EU standards and have an energy saving LED light bulb fitted inside.
The cable length is approximately 1,8 meters, all you have to do is plug them in and switch them on.
