Lifetime edition. Selvinsky Ilya (Karl) Lvovich (1899-1968) - writer, poet and playwright, representative of the literary movement of constructivism. In the 1920s, he became one of the leaders of constructivism (the poems `Ulyalaevshchina` and `Notes of a Poet`). He wrote the novel in verse `Pushtorg` and tried himself in dramaturgy. In 1933-1934. As a special correspondent for Pravda, Selvinsky took part in the Arctic expedition of Professor O. Yu. Schmidt on the icebreaker Chelyuskin, later writing the poem Chelyuskiniana. In 1927, Selvinsky wrote the verse story Notes of a Poet. The main character, the poet Yevgeny Ney, is endowed with autobiographical features. The story ended with a collection of his poems Silk Moon, in which Selvinsky the constructivist’s aesthetic preferences were clearly felt.
