A first 1912 edition of this beautifully illustrated guide to "Moscow" with fold-out map. Illustrated throughout with thirty-two plates, many of which are in colour, and fold-out map to the rear. Collated complete with speaking tissue guards on colour illustrations. A guide to Moscow with details of: the history, impressions, the Kremlin, the treasury, galleries, walls, churches, and social characteristics. Written by H. M. Grove. Illustrated by Frederic de Haenen, a Dutch-French painter and illustrator. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light bumping to the extremities and the odd mark to the board,spine lightly sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, a few plates with very light wear on margins. Very well preserved copy!!! Rarity. Uncommon. Perfect Christmas gift
