Invader is the pseudonym of a French urban artist, known for his unique and distinctive style of street art. Born in 1969 and originally named Franck Slama, Invader is best known for his mosaic works that replicate the pixelated appearance of characters from early video games, most notably the Space Invaders arcade game. His work is characterized by these small, colorful tiles arranged to create images reminiscent of 8-bit graphics, often placed in strategic and unexpected locations in cities around the world. Invader's art aims to "invade" urban environments, transforming everyday spaces into playful art galleries.

Invader began his public art project in Paris in the late 1990s and has since expanded his reach globally, installing thousands of mosaics in cities across the world. Each piece is cataloged, and some are even equipped with QR codes or use augmented reality technology to provide viewers with additional information or interactive experiences.
