Massimiliano Fuksas was born in Rome in 1944, where he studied architecture at La Sapienza University . In 1967 he opened a practice in Rome, followed in 1989 and 1993 by firms in Paris and Vienna. He lives and works in Rome and Paris. He runs the firm with his wife Doriane, who graduated from the University of Rome in 1979 in History of Modern and Contemporary Architecture. In Eindhoven, they were responsible for the Piazza and the so-called Blob.
