Here is a superb, extremely lustrous sphalerite and galena combination specimen from Gyudyurska mine in Zlatograd, Bulgarian Rhodopes!
It features a focal 1.9 cm edge polycrystalline jet black tetrahedron, with multiple small faces that make it look like a disco ball. In contrast, you can see other smaller tetrahedrons of sphalerite with perfectly smooth, monocrystalline face.
This zinc sulphide is in combination with contrastingly metallic lustre and silver colour galena crystals up to 2 cm large.
You can also notice yellowish calcite scalenohedrons and green chlorite.
Discovery December 2022 in level 650m, block 33.
