First reprint of the Badius edition of 1506 with the addition of the commnentaries by the humanist, rhetorician, educator and scholar Lorenzo Valla (1407-1457), the grammarian and humanist Omnibonus Leonicensus (Ognibene Bonisoli da Lonigo, 1412-1474) and Jo. Chrysostomus Solde (Schweiger). Josse (Jodocus) Badius Ascensius (1462-1535) was a pioneer of the printing industry and a renowned grammarian and pedagogue. A magnificent illustrated editiono, one of the masterpieces of ancient roman literature.
