Highly detailed die cast metal model with opening doors & hood, steerable front wheels, Nevada plates, soft rubber tires, detailed interior & chassi.
This yellow beauty with black stripes is approx. 27 cm long & weighs just over a kilo (a real piece), a really stunning pony car.
Ertl Collectibles Elite Edition series maintains a very high quality & has a fantastic finish with incredibly fine details & is officially licensed by GM.
Sold out for a very long time & comes from my private collection which I am reducing, so it´s new old stock
About the original car:
The Cougar Eliminator was the top of the line performance variant of the First Generation Mercury Cougar. The Eliminator was introduced for the 1969 model year, and took the Cougar GT's place as the performance offering for the Cougar.
The Eliminator featured a wide range of improvements and changes from the standard model, including front and rear spoilers, upgraded suspension, uprated wheels and tires, as well as racing stripes.
Only four color options were available to the Eliminator:
Competition Orange, Bright Blue Metallic, Bright Yellow, and White.
The Cougar Eliminator was available with various V8 engine options, including the stock 5.8L (351) V8, as well as the notable Boss 302 and 428 Cobra Jet V8 units.
Production of the Mercury Eliminator only lasted until 1970.
