Large and unique abstract sculpture.
Carved by artist from solid acacia wood.

The sculpture is made of solid acacia wood*. Carved by the artist with chainsaw, finished with hatchet. Tanned with fire (yakisugi**), painted with black stain and waxed with natural wax.

* (Acacia is a long-lived material that does not rot when exposed to rain.
It will nicely represent itself indoors and outdoors.)
** (Yakisugi (焼杉) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. By slightly charring the surface of the wood without combusting the whole piece, the wood becomes water-proof through the carbonisation and is thus more durable. It also protects against insects, as well as making the wood fire retardant.)
