The design is a "camp" - a tent used by warlords and their retainers during the Warring States period when they were camping,
a float (a portable shrine used in festivals), autumn leaves, and plum blossoms.
It depicts a scene of cherry blossom viewing, a traditional Japanese event.
The gold-painted decoration that gives the wood a three-dimensional look is very beautiful, and it is a luxurious and expensive decoration even among Japanese tiered boxes.
Maki-e is used for the plum blossoms and other decorations.
It is a rare piece that took a lot of time and effort to make.
It is probably an item from the Meiji period to the early Showa period.
There are some scratches and lacquer peeling on the corners and back corners.
I think the overall condition is good.
