Here is a totally outstanding blue hemimorphite from the very famous Sardinian locality Sa Duchessa mine, renowned internationally for having provided the best historical blue hemimorphites!
This superb specimen displays a tridimensional domed botryoidal hemimorphite coating over an oxidized breccia matrix.
The stunning sky or electric blue colour immediately catched the eye, highlighted with the delicate contrast of the botryoidal texture that make the specimen appear like a frozen ice cloud or solidified impetuous water!
A remarkably good translucency of the matter makes for an enhanced colour saturation. Notice there are small white contact points here and there, since the specimen comes from a 'vintage' collection.
Truly a remarkable hemimorphite from Sardinia, of the highest standards on the continent.
