Beautiful Chinese glazed porcelain mingqi figure made during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It's a museum quality decorative artifact depicting a male musician in a standing position on a pedestal. The character has meticulously detailed face and elements of clothing consisting of shoes with applied black pigment, robe with astonishing shiny green and partly yellow glazing and conical hat. It has tiny holes in fists which can be easily hidden or where additional ornaments can be placed .
* It's an important, spirit figure known as a mingqi. Like ushabti figurines in ancient Egyptian culture, mingqi figures had to fulfil a role of a servant for high status deceased persons during eternal life, and as well to separate the realm of the dead from that of the living.
