The Ménard Ancestrale Cognac is a sensory delight that must be experienced at least once. Not only is it born from the Premier Cru of the Cognac region where the high elevation and the chalk-rich soil lend themselves to making Cognac with particular finesse. It also falls into the highest age denomination, meaning it may have been aged for around 100 years — an impressively long time, even for a Grande Champagne Cognac. In fact, this particular Cognac forms part of the oldest range in the historical house’s cellar and would please any collector or connoisseur.

Situated in the heart of the Grande Champagne, the Ménard family has been cultivating vines on their estate for close to two centuries. They proudly uphold the traditional Charentais method, distilling wines on-site in copper stills and then aging the eau-de-vie in Limousin oak barrels — where the true magic unfolds.

With this Cognac, the remarkably long aging process has given rise to a truly stunning array of tastes and aromas. A potent mix of Fall fragrances such as warm spices, vintage roses, chocolate, and vanilla captivate on the first nose, followed by the delicious rancio characteristic of well-aged Cognacs and a beautiful length.
