Tsobi Monkey was purchased in in 2013 from a gallery in Nantes. Part of a 4 piece series depicting a female monkey in traditional Spanish clothing through the seasons, this painting represents Spring,

Marc le Rest is a French artist whose works are shown everywhere from New York to Melbourne, Valencia and Brussels. His unique portraiture often features animals represented in elaborate clothing and ceremonial dresses, either brightly coloured or somberly depicted as in this example.

An oil on canvas, the canvas is affixed directly to the frame and is almost 2m x 1.16m.
It is signed by the artist on the bottom right of the painting and I have the original invoice.
