Beautiful large carved swordfish bill, a very impressive eye catcher. Double Dragon carving.
Resin has been used to fill the swordfish.
A very impressive eye-catcher on which a Balinese master craftsman has intricately carved a double dragon. The craftsman's family has been carving for generations, as this skill is traditionally passed down from father to son.
This could be seen as a type of scrimshaw. Scrimshaw is the name given to engravings, and carvings are done in bone or ivory. Engraved is a double dragon motif.
> Resin has been used to fill the swordfish.
APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS
The tusk is 92 cm long
DISCLAIMERS
- Since it is a natural tusk, it might have some natural minimal cracks and crevices in the tusk. This is normal. Please refer to pictures.
- Our tusks are cleaned professionally, but sometimes minor discolouration still occurs. This is natural and normal, and not something we can do a lot about. Please refer to the pictures.
