Condition:
The very fine printing process used here is mostly likely lithographic. Each sketch is printed on high-quality museum-art paper. Very detailed, of the same size and identical to Goyo's original graphite sketches, including the "scribbles'.
The sketch is in good condition. An exact copy of the original, in all its details. Some creases on the paper as seen, Red seal & Gallery stamp on lower right.
Dimension: 515 x 365 mm
Hashiguchi Goyo is one of the most famous Japanese woodblock-print artists of the 20th century. Goyo only lived to be 41 and his output is very limited. Because of his premature death, Goyo left behind a great volume of unfinished work, including a sketchbook with 25 sketches of "Beauties" (1918–1921).
