Born in 1949, he is a world-renowned etching artist.
He is famous for his cat and fugu motifs, but is also very well known as a print painter of the Japanese countryside.
While most of his works are based on real objects, this mysterious work is reminiscent of an ancient fish.
This work is rare and limited to only 50 pieces compared to his other works.

Biography
1949 Born in Hiroshima Prefecture
1973 Completed the printmaking research course at Sogei Art School
1973-1977 Selected for the Exhibition of the Japan Print Association, first time selected for the Kofukai Exhibition, Nichido Print Grand Prix Exhibition
1977 Nominated for prize at Nichido Print Grand Prix Exhibition
1978 Selected for Japan International Art Exhibition, Selected for Japan Contemporary Print Grand Prix Exhibition, Honorable Mention for 1st and 2nd Print Postcard Competition Exhibition
1979 Selected, Grand Prix Exhibition of Sunshine Prints by Type, Copper Print Division, Japan
2000 Exhibition “30 Years of Engraving” (11 places in Japan)
