This beautiful object is part of a series about light and the restorative quality of nature. Belenos was the Celtic god of light, the 'Shinning God' associated with the healing power of the sun.

Handmade and blown by the Dutch artist Bibi Smit.
Previously seen at Salone del Mobile and Dutch Design Week.

Bibi Smit (Netherlands, 1965) is an artist known for creating sculptures that explore the beauty and powerful force of nature. By being able to control all processes in the glassblowing studio, her work shows an acute attention to detail and technique. She lives and works in Loosdrecht.
