The chair incorporates a revolving mechanism and it rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by first unlocking the mechanism by releasing a vertical latch at the base of the mechanism and then turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The latch can then be locked down again, which prevents accidental raising or lowering of the seat height.
