查看翻译'Oranda to Nankin' 和蘭と南京 (Dutch and Chinese) - From "Ikokugotoba" いこくごとば (Foreign Languages) - Utagawa Yoshiiku (1833-1904) - 日本 - Late Edo period
编号 88825993
Original woodblock print - Utagawa Yoshiiku (1833-1904) - 'Oranda to Nankin' 和蘭と南京 (Dutch and Chinese) - From the series "Ikokugotoba" いこくごとば (Foreign Languages) - Japan - 1861 (Man'en 2/Bunkyû 1), 11th month
Utagawa Yoshiiku's signature is Ichieisai Yoshiiku ga" 一恵斎芳幾画" in his signature.
A Dutch woman and a Chinese man are portrayed.
At the top of the print there are translations of Japanese words into English. The language, however, is mistakenly described as 'Rango' 蘭語 (Dutch).
Here are the first two words:
'Otoko wo men wo iu' 男をめんトいふ (Man is pronounced as 'men')
'Onna wo uwoman to iu' 女をうをまんト云 (Woman is pronounced 'Uwoman')
Reasonable condition: stains, also, since it is old, it has dirt and hold.

(memo)Utagawa Yoshiiku
Born the son of teahouse proprietor Asakusa Tamichi in 1833, Yoshiiku became a student of ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi toward the end of the 1840s. His earliest known work dates to 1852 when he provided the backgrounds to some actor prints by his master.
Tsukioka Yoshitoshi is a brother apprentice. At that time he was as popular as Yoshitoshi, and was involved in publishing newspapers as a painter.
