Il “25 anni” di Arnaldo Caprai è un Sagrantino in purezza, proveniente dai vigneti situati nel cuore pulsante del Montefalco viticolo, in Umbria. In seguito alla vendemmia manuale, i grappoli sono trasportati in cantina dove vengono pressati. Il mosto ricavato viene posto a fermentare all’interno di contenitori di acciaio. La fase di affinamento si compone di un primo periodo di maturazione in barrique, che ha una durata di 24 mesi, ed una successiva sosta in bottiglia di circa 8 mesi.

Arnaldo Caprai Montefalco Sagrantino “25 anni” ha un colore rosso rubino cupo ed impenetrabile. Tanto denso alla vista, quanto lo è al naso, ricco di una complessità stratificata e varia. Si susseguono note di frutta nera in confettura, rosa e cacao, su un ventaglio speziato di pepe, chiodi di garofano e cannella; una nota balsamica di resina di pino rifinisce un bouquet a dir poco ampio. In bocca la classe è manifestata dalla morbidezza del tannino, che non intacca il carattere suadente del sorso ma, al contrario, lo esalta. Una buona freschezza denota una capacità di evoluzione tutta da scoprire.

The "25 years" of Arnaldo Caprai is a pure Sagrantino, coming from the vineyards located in the beating heart of the viticultural Montefalco, in Umbria. Following the manual harvest, the bunches are transported to the cellar where they are pressed. The must obtained is placed to ferment inside steel containers. The refinement phase consists of a first period of aging in barrique, which lasts 24 months, and a subsequent rest in the bottle for about 8 months.

Arnaldo Caprai Montefalco Sagrantino “25 years” has a dark and impenetrable ruby ​​red color. As dense to the eye as it is to the nose, rich in a layered and varied complexity. There are notes of black fruit in jam, rose and cocoa, on a spicy range of pepper, cloves and cinnamon; a balsamic note of pine resin finishes a bouquet that is broad to say the least.
