Lot of 3 MAGNUM from the worldwide famous Brunello di Montalcino from Cinelli Colombini, 1996 (1bt) and 1999 (2bt). The 1999 vintage is generally considered one of the best vintages in Montalcino EVER.
The property of CInelli Colombini is made up of 40 hectares of which 17 hectares are taken up by Sangiovese vineyards and the winery for the production and ageing of the Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino wines.
The vintners are all women, as is the winemaker, a unique situation in Italy, a flagship for women in the wine business.
In the barrel ageing area there are no barriques: the Brunello ages at least two years in 5 and 7 hectolitre French oak casks worked by artisans, after which it is decanted into 15-40 hectolitre barrels and finally undergoing a further ageing period in bottles which is essential for the aromatic fullness of the wine. The distinctive element of the wine is its elegance: red harmonies able to last in time.
Distinguished world-class naturally matured wine. Ruby red color of moderate intensity. Complex nose of dried black fruits and Mediterranean herbs and oriental spices. Compact flavor with fine acidity and powerful tannins. Very long aftertaste of ripe red and black fruit, cedar wood, vanilla and cocoa. Sublime with roasts and game birds, mushrooms, truffles and gratin tubers. Service temperature: 17°C.
