A fine and large porcelain fruit bowl in Cantonese style, measuring circa 22.3 x 22.3cm and weighing 824g, decorated in blue and sepia enamels to depict an old city center scene. This Bay Colony bowl was designed by Mottahedeh for Shreve, Crump and Low, America´s purveyor of fine jewellery and luxury goods since 1796.
The Mottahedeh Porcelain Company was founded in the 1930s by Rafi and Mildred Mottahedeh, refined and knowledgable porcelain collectors and experts who sought to reproduce and commercialize some of the most beautiful Asian porcelains from bygone eras. This model was manufactured in Portugal by the Vista Allegre porcelain company, manufacturer of porcelain under license of the Portuguese Royal Family since 1824.
Condition: Excellent, no damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age.
This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.

查看翻译The description of the item's excellent condition is a blatant lie. 1 of the 3 vases has a glued neck, and the 2nd has a badly scratched handle. Everything was revealed when the dirt was washed off.
