On the obverse of the coin, the inscription reads "IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG," which translates to "Imperator Caesar Marcus Quintus Traianus Decius Augustus." The design features a radiate and cuirassed bust of the emperor facing right, viewed from behind.
