安藤工坊景泰蓝花瓶 - 景泰蓝珐琅,银 - 日本 - Shōwa period (1926-1989)
A vase from Ando Shippo Seisakusho (operated from 1880 to the mid-20th century).
Showa period (20th century).
This vase has a beautiful contrast between the milky white and black peony flowers.
The frame is made of 925 pure silver.
It has a Japanese taste, but also goes well with Western-style interiors.
What is Shippo-yaki?
Shippo-yaki is a craft made by applying a glassy glaze (paint for cloisonné) to a metal base (base) such as copper or silver, and firing it at 750-950℃. The product taken out of the furnace is an original, one-of-a-kind in the world. The amount of glaze applied and the subtle temperature difference mean that the same piece can never be made twice.
