A collection of bronze Anatolian arrowheads, with varying shapes and sizes. They have mostly leaf-shaped heads with raised midribs and a socket which was used to attach the wooden shaft of the arrow. Several of the arrows present with rounded tips, and the rest with pointed tips. Signs of wear as consistent with age, such as chips along the edges of the blades on several arrows, holes on the body of two of the arrows, and a chipped socket on one of the arrowheads. Earthly encrustations to the surface, and blocking one of the sockets on the arrowheads. A beautiful patina has also developed on the surface.
Arrowheads of this type have been recovered across all the Anatolian and North Euphrates region. Anatolia, also known in antiquity as Asia Minor, was located in the Anatolian Peninsula. It is one of the first regions to have boasted bronze production. The Iron Age of Anatolia marked the rise of classical civilisation, when Syro-Hittite culture rose and took over the former Hittite Empire.
