Bitchu Kagura was designated as a nationally important intangible folk cultural property in 1979.
Omoikane-no-Mikoto思兼命:

Kiyosuke Tanabe田邊聖祐:

The technique was introduced from the Ming Dynasty in China, and it began to be woven in Nishijin, Kyoto, and is said to have become established as a kimono fabric at the beginning of the Edo period.
