Vintage Ainu carved kokeshi - Wood - Japan - Shōwa period (1926-1989)
This is kokeshi doll carved by the Ainu people in Japan. The Ainu are an indigenous people of the northern regions of the Japanese archipelago, particularly Hokkaido. Unfortunately, the maker of this kokeshi doll is unknown.
Dimensions: 43 × 12 × 6.5 cm
Weight: 733 g
Good condition.
While overall in good condition considering their age, they may show slight signs of wear and minor dirt. Please refer to the photos for a closer look.
