Very early Map of Kyoto published by Chobei Kikuya in Kyoto in 1778. On the reverse is a guide to shrines, temples and other sights in Kyoto. Both sides are monochrome. As with other maps of Kyoto from this period, the names of temples and shrines, the location of the residences of the individual clans in Kyoto and the location of the earthwalls are marked.
Later editions in 1835, 1840, 1852, 1862 and 1863.
Somewhat soiled, water stains, torn along the folds, cover rubbed and with some wormholes
