Vintage Beautiful and rare Rolco by Rolex 1930's silvered quadrant dial wristwatch. Silvered quadrant dial with bold black Arabic numerals With blued steelindex hands signed at 12 o'clock Rolco Other names (amongst many) included Rolco Rolwatco, Falcon, Genex, Lonex, Rolexis, Lexis, Hofex and Wintex. The name Rolco was registered by Hans Wilsdorf on 15th September 1927 another of the brand names created by Wilsdorf was Marconi, after the inventor and wireless telegraphy pioneer. Marconi Lever was registered on 24 January 1911. This was followed by Unicorn Lever (registered 17 March 1919) and Unicorn Watch (registered 20 November 1923) and so on. Around 1945 all the other brand names except for Tudor were dropped, and eventually Tudor was floated off as a separate company. A no reserve auction. The signed Rolco timepiece is in good original condition and is set with 15 rubies signed Rolco . The timepiece runs with a clear tick and keeps time well, The stainless steel 28 mm 3 piece case is marked to exterior of case "853711 182" interior marked SAR with crown/coronet (societe anonyme Rolex) stainless steel, plain non original winding crown. Watch is presented on a new brown open ended strap strap as to fit a fixed bar watch case.
